The siphon can be made in two
ways:
A) just below the unit (suitable
for the majority of wall
installations) or alternatively
B.
at the end of the drain
hose (suitable for floor
installations)
Make also sure that you:
•
route the hose to a drain and
ensure that it is not exposed
to frost.
•
fill the siphon with min. 0.5 L
water.
•
let the drain hose drop with
1% (1 cm/ meter) all the way
from the unit to the drain.
Optional use of clamp:

If you make the siphon just below
the unit, you may like to use the
cable clamp included in delivery.
•
Mount the cable clamp in the
hole in the bottom of the unit
•
Pass the drain hose through
the cable clamp to form a
siphon.
Material damage (e .g . water damage)
Heat recovery of air with a high moisture content leads to condensation in the heat ex-
changer. Condensate must be led into a drain, as it otherwise may damage the floor under
the unit.
•
Make sure that the drain hose is installed according to the current operating mode.
Material damage (e .g . water damage)
Frozen water in the hose can damage the drain hose, thus causing a water damage at the
installation site.
•
Insulate the drain hose completely, where it is exposed to low temperatures, in order to
ensure that the installation always is frost-proof.
•
If the insulation can't be done in a way that ensures a frost-proof drain hose, we recom-
mend to connect a heating cable around the drain hose.
