Rack Requirements
The Oracle Exadata Storage Server X6-2 Extreme Flash is a 2 rack unit (2U) storage server that
fits inside Oracle's Exadata rack. The rack specifications are listed in the following table.

Description
Review safety precautions for rackmounting a
storage server.
Gather the tools and equipment necessary for
installation.
Ensure that all prerequisite tasks are complete
before installation.
Install the storage server into a rack.
Attach data and storage server management cables
to the storage server.

Four-post rack (mounting at both front and rear). Supported rack types: square
hole (9.5 mm) and round hole (M6 or 1/4-20 threaded only).
Two-post racks are not compatible.

Minimum 61 cm and maximum 91.5 cm (24 inches to 36 inches).
Distance to front cabinet door is at least 2.54 cm (1 inch).
