All Listed Applications
All Listed applications require Ethernet network transient suppression.
There are two options:
1.
Connect the iComSL network cable to the network switch device that is located within the same room as the
iComSL.
2.
Use the Model 270 to provide transient suppression for the iComSL from the Ethernet network.
270 Module Installation
The 270 Transient Suppression Module is designed to easily mount inside the panel enclosure using a Model 350B
Slide‑in Bracket and the standard 3‑hole mounting configuration.
1.
Mount the plastic standoffs to the Model 350B Slide‑in Bracket using the tree included Phillips head screws.
2.
Insert the screws from the underside of the 350B through the holes and into the plastic standoff that mounts
on the top of the 350B.
3.
After tightening and securing the standoffs onto the 350B, snap the 270 onto the standoffs.
4.
Install the cable between the 270 TO PANEL connector and the communicator ETHERNET connector.
5.
Using either side of the two‑position terminal strip on the 270, connect an 18‑gauge or larger ground wire to
terminal 4 on the communicator.
6.
Connect the Local Area Network (LAN) to the 270 switch/router connector.
Caution: Ground yourself before handling the panel. Touch any grounded metal, such as the enclosure, before
touching the panel to discharge static.
Remove all pwer from the panel. Remove all AC and battery power from the panel before installing or connecting any
modules, cards, or wires to the panel.
