Version 1912XR/104 Firmware Update
Effective March 24, 1994 all 1912XR Command Processor panels are being shipped from the factory with
version 1912XR/104 firmware. This is an update from version 1912XR/103 firmware and contains several new
operational features to the 1912XR panel. Below is a brief description of these new features:

Individual area disarming

Version 1912XR/104 adds the ALL NO YES option to the user menu allowing end users to individually select
the areas they want to disarm. This change will be reflected in future versions of the 1912XR User's Guide.

Remote Access software compatibility

Version 104 fully supports the operation of the Remote Access software program with the changes listed below:
• Remote Access now allows you to program Area Information from the host computer.
• Adds the following supervisory reports sent to the receiver:
S83 - Remote Programming Complete
S84 - Remote Command Received
• Changing the number of partitions now causes the panel to initialize and reallocate the user codes to the
new partitions.
• You can now remote program loops into partitions 2, 3, and 4.
• Remote Loop Status Inquiry now shows bypassed loops.

No Exit Error on Bypassed Exit type loops

The 1912XR no longer initiates an Exit Error when you arm with a bypassed Exit type loop.
Additional features
• Version 1912XR/104 now fully supports the operation of the 862 Network Interface Module allowing you
to connect the panel to a data communication network.
• DNET programming added to the 1912XR programming menu to support the 862 module. See below:

COMMUNICATION TYPE - Specifies the communication method the panel uses to

send reports to the SCS-1 Receiver. Press any select key to display the following

DD - Dialer communication to a DMP SCS-1 Receiver.
MPX - Multiplex communication to a DMP SCS-1 Receiver.
DDMX - Dialer communication during disarmed periods with multiplex communication
established after the last area in the system arms. After selecting DDMX, the display

changes to DDMX PHONE NO., press COMMAND to enter the multiplex phone
number.
DNET - All main communication is done on port A of the 862 module following
multiplex rules. Backup dialer can also be used by selecting BACKUP as YES.

  • Page 2 Updating Previous Version Firmware Chips If you have any previous versions of 1912XR firmware chips, you can send these in to DMP Technical Support for upgrading. DMP technicians will reprogram the chips up to version 1912XR/104 at no charge to you.
