Introduction

This guide provides the required information to install the Accounting and Routing
®
Module (ARM) in a BlackDiamond
6800 series switch from Extreme Networks and
perform the initial module configuration tasks.
This guide is intended for use by network administrators who are responsible for
installing and setting up network equipment. It assumes a basic working knowledge of:
• Local area networks (LANs)
• Ethernet concepts
• Ethernet switching and bridging concepts
• Routing concepts
• Internet Protocol (IP) concepts
