Set the amount of time (in seconds) that the SmartSwitch device keeps
an address in its filtering database before discarding it. An address is
automatically discarded when a valid frame is not received from that
address within the time specified in the Age Time field. To change the
Age Time field from the default value of 300 seconds, refer to
Section
6.2.2.
See the lists of switched ports on the device. If the number of ports is
greater than eight, then the additional ports are listed on subsequent
screens.
See the hardware address assigned to each listed port.
See the five states that can display in this field. These states are
described as follows:
disabled – Management disabled this interface. No traffic is received or
forwarded while the interface is disabled.
listening – The SmartSwitch device is not adding information to the
Transparent Database. The SmartSwitch device is monitoring the
Bridge Protocol Data Unit (BPDU) traffic while preparing to move
from the learning to the forwarding state.
learning – The SmartSwitch device is learning the addresses on this
interface. The SmartSwitch device enters the learning state when the
Transparent Database is created (during start-up or after being deleted),
or when the Spanning Tree Algorithm detects a network topology
change.
forwarding – The SmartSwitch device is operating and this interface is
forwarding traffic.
blocking – This interface will not forward any traffic through the
SmartSwitch device because a loop condition has been detected by the
STA.
Enable or disable a port by setting the status of the listed port to either
ENABLED or DISABLED. To set the port status, refer to
Section
6.2.3.
