Configuring Subscriber Interface Settings
This chapter describes how to configure the 5300-S network settings. It
contains the following sections:

Before starting, collect the following information:
•
An IP address for the 5300-S.
•
An IP address for the gateway.
•
The preferred and secondary IP address for the DNS server.
The 5300-S is shipped with the preset subscriber (Port 1) IP address of:
192.168.1.1, and the default subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 so you can access and
configure the 5300-S.
The subscriber interface defines the interface between the 5300-S and your
customers' endpoints or the public network.
