4) When the vehicle is frequently operated under severe conditions, such as towing a trailer or driving on sand, replacement
of manual transmission gear oil and automatic transmission fluid and differential gear oil should be performed more fre-
quently.
5) When the vehicle is used under following areas, change fluid every 25,000 km (15,000 miles) or 12 months whichever oc-
curs first.
(1) High humidity areas
(2) Mountainous areas
6) ATF filter is maintenance free part. ATF filter needs replacement when it has physical damage or ATF leaked.
7) Periodic inspection and replacement of the camshaft drive chains on the 3.0-liter models are not required.
* Severe driving conditions
(1) Operating in extremely cold weather (Items 1, 2 and 17 only)
(2) Towing a trailer (Items 1, 2, 10, 11, 13 and 14 only)
(3) Repeated short trips (Items 1, 2, 13 and 14 only)
(4) Driving in dusty roads (Items 8, 13, 14 and 17 only)
(5) Driving in rough and/or muddy roads (Items 13, 14 and 17 only)
(6) Driving in areas using road salt or other corrosive materials (Items 6, 13, 14, 15 and 17 only)
