During the adjustment process, the audio set will return to the previous control

Tone setting
The initial (factory-set) tone setting in ve-
hicles is optimized for listening in a Station
wagon. It is possible to change the tone
setting to one optimized for listening in a
Sedan by taking the following steps:
1. Press the "ON/VOL" button to turn the
power OFF.
2. Hold down the "TONE/BAL" button and
press the "ON/VOL" button to change the
setting. The setting will change from Sta-
tion wagon sound to Sedan sound. To re-
turn the setting to Station wagon sound,
perform steps 1 and 2 again. The setting
will be shown on the display as follows:
WAGON SOUND
SEDAN SOUND
Stereo indicator
The display shows the stereo indicator
"ST" when an FM stereo broadcast is re-
ceived.
