and cancel the disc-repeat-play mode,
press it again to reselect the disc-re-
peat-play mode.
The disc-repeat-play mode will be
cancelled if you perform any of the fol-
lowing steps:
Eject the CD.
Select the random playback mode.
Select the repeat-play (RPT) mode.
Insert another disc.
Use the scan function.
Random playback
RDM
Press the "RDM" button for at least one
second during disc playback to play all of
the tracks on the disc in a random order.
The display will show "RDM", and all of the
tracks on the disc will be played in a ran-
dom order.
To cancel random playback, press the
"RDM" button again for at least one sec-
ond. The "RDM" indication will go off, and
the normal playback mode will be re-
sumed.
NOTE
Random playback will be cancelled if
you perform any of the following steps:
Eject the CD.
Select the track-repeat-play (RPT)
mode or disc-repeat-play
mode.
Insert another disc.
Use the scan function.

If you press the "SCAN" button during disc
playback, the first 10 seconds of each
track will be played, enabling you to
search for a desired track. To continue lis-
tening to a desired track, press the
"SCAN" button during that track's 10-sec-
ond preview period. If you allow all of the
tracks on the disc to be scanned, the nor-
mal playback mode will then be resumed.
To eject CDs
To eject the currently playing CD
(D-RPT)
Press the "
Playback will stop, and the CD will auto-
matically be ejected.
