4.2 HITCHING AND DISCONNECTING FROM TRACTOR

Ensure that pneumatic, hydraulic and electric connections and the hitch of agricultural tractor
are according to the Manufacturer's requirements, if not the trailer should not be hitched to
the tractor.
In order to hitch the trailer to the tractor perform the actions below in the sequence
presented. Machine must be immobilised by parking brake.
Connection
Immobilise trailer with parking brake.
Position agricultural tractor directly in front of drawbar eye.
Reverse tractor and connect line according to decal (6)– table (2.1) (straight
hydraulic support).
Using the support set the drawbar eye at such a height so it is possible to
hitch the machines.
Reverse tractor, hitch trailer, check coupling lock protecting machine against
accidental unhitching.
Turn off tractor ignition. Ensure that unauthorised persons do not have access
to the tractor cab.
Connect pneumatic system lines (applies to two line systems):
Operate the selective control valve on the tractor to raise or lower the
drawbar eye, until the correct height is achieved
If the agricultural tractor is equipped with an automatic coupler, ensure
that the hitching operation is completed and that drawbar eye is
secured.
When the trailer is coupled, the support must be withdrawn as close
as possible to the drawbar by maximally withdrawing the hydraulic
cylinder piston.
When the support is completely withdrawn, set selective control valve
lever in tractor to "neutral" position.
