3.2.7 TAILGATE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Tailgate hydraulic system is used to raise and lower the trailer tailgate and control the
operation of locking hooks (4).
The hydraulic system is supplied with oil from the tractor hydraulics. Through hydraulic lines
(2) terminated with quick-couplers pressurised oil is fed to hydraulic cylinders (1), which open
or close the tailgate.
Tailgate is controlled from the cab through the hydraulic selective control valve valve lever on
the tractor. When raising the tailgate the locking hooks (4) unlock the tailgate, then cylinders
raise it by with two wings (5). When closing, the cylinders lower the load box, and in the final
phase locking hooks (4) lock the load box.
