Description
Control (SCADA) Communication Fault
Indicates loss of connection between the
SCADA system and the COMMC board.
Loss of CAN communication was detected
between COMMC board and main control
board (PIB).
Comm loss for any of the remote IO boards
Comm loss with optional custom IO PLC
One or more Remote I/O boards is not
connected to the PIB
Low irradiance detection.
This is detected when DC Power is less than
7.5 kW or DC Voltage is under minimum PV Vdc
for >10 msec.
User defined Warnings as part of the
Multi-Function IO Feature set.
Examples: Typical to the medium-voltage
transformer;
1. Liquid Level Alarm; Activates low level
alarm circuit.
2. Liquid Temperature Alarm 1.
Low set-point
3. Liquid Temperature Alarm 2.
High set-point
4. Pressure Switch Alarm; Activates at
+6.0 PSIG falling
5. Vacuum Switch Alarm; Activates at
–2.5 PSIG falling
Resolution
Following these steps. if fault continues, contact Eaton service
1. Check HMI System Diagnostics menu for indicator
2. Verify SCADA system is plugged into Ethernet switch
3. Verify SCADA network settings
4. Ensure that SCADA system is writing to communication
heartbeat set-point.
1. Check COMMC and PIB cabling and terminations.
2. Reset (cycle) power to the COMMC and PIB
1. Check cabling and termination
2. Reset power to boards
1. Check Ethernet cable connection
2. Validate that PLC IP address matches d.351 configuration
1. Check wiring to PIB, connector J15
2. Observe which LED on the PIB board is illuminated
D30~D32 correspond to CAN1~CAN3
D34~D36 correspond to CAN4~CAN6
Normal Operation (No Action Required)
Evening transition from power-export to sleep states due to
waning irradiance
Common in early morning when low irradiance can't support
power-export
Abnormal Operation (typically when solar irradiance > 200 W/m
Verify solar array modules for damage and source and output
ckts wiring defects
Verify inverter re-combiner, input OCPDs and bus-bar
connections
Consult Eaton prior to Inverter order/factory build
