THE SLIDE SENSOR 50-1206
THE SLIDE SENSOR is an absolute encoder device, nearly identical to those used in digital calipers. When mounted to
a correctly adjusted cutting head and properly calibrated it should give an accuracy of +/-.004" [0.102 mm]. The sensor
itself is enclosed in a case to prevent dust contamination. This is a precise instrument, please take care. Its housing will
prevent most damage, but it is not intended to take large loads or impacts nor be used as a handle.

THE SLIDE SENSOR 50-1206
Loosen, but do not remove, the slide pin clamp screw. Using the four screws provided mount the inboard and
outboard mounting brackets to the holes tapped in the top surface of the tool arms. You will likely need to
adjust the slide side to side, or move the arms to match the separation of the brackets. Before tightening the
bracket screws, please make sure the slide sensor is parallel to the rail on which the arms move. Once you're
sure this is parallel, tighten the four mounting bracket screws and the slide pin clamp screw.
