To prepare the TPS-4000L for uploading or upgrading, refer to the following figure
for a typical connection diagram.
Typical Connection Diagram when Uploading a Touchpanel Project or Firmware
Alternatively, touchpanel projects and firmware can be directly uploaded to the
touchpanel from a PC without the use of a control system. To prepare the
TPS-4000L for uploading or upgrading directly from a PC, refer to the following
figure. Connect the RS-232 port of the computer directly to the RS-232 port of the
touchpanel. Refer to page 15 for RS-232 cable information.
NOTE: Directly connecting to the touchpanel over RS-232 provides a faster
transmission speed than Cresnet.
NOTE: The touchpanel must be connected to 24 VDC and ground.

NOTE: For cable pinouts, refer to "RS-232" on page 15.
1. Open the Crestron Viewport.
Either launch the stand-alone version of Viewport, or start SIMPL
Windows, and from the menu bar, select Tools | Viewport.
2. Refer to the following figure. From the Viewport menu, select Setup |
Communications settings (alternatively, press Alt+D) to open the "Port
Settings" window.
