14. Check that the injector is seated vertically in the
solder in the injector holder. If the injector is not
seated vertically in the solder, straighten it (refer to
Fig. 44).

Connecting the test pressure line

Note tightening torque
1. Remove the union nut (Fig. 47, item 1) and sealing
cone (Fig. 47, item 2) from the high-pressure outlets
of the distributor rail.
2. Check that the thrust ring (Fig. 45, item 4) is secure-
ly tightened (left-hand thread).
3. Connect the test pressure line (Fig. 45, item 1) with
the appropriate adapter nut (Fig. 45, item 5) to the
high-pressure outlet of the injector (Fig. 45, item 3).
Do not tighten.
4. Connect the other end of the test pressure line with
M16x1.5 adapter nut to the high-pressure outlet
(Fig. 45, item 2) of the distributor rail. Do not tighten.
5. Tighten the test pressure line (Fig. 45, item 1) with a
wrench, whilst providing support for the screw con-
nection at the injector and the distributor rail. Only
tighten the test pressure line at the upper hexagon
(refer to item 46).
