Connecting to the PBXgateway

Interface The PBXgateway has a terminal based user interface for access to the MI for
Methods configuration purposes.
Console User Interface:
VT-100 Enhanced Terminal Interface (ETI) accessed from a PC via one of
three possible methods:
Direct Serial connection through the console port located on the front of the
PBXgateway.

LAN-based Telnet access (see page 56)
In-band management connection between the Switch and Remote (see page
100)
Security It is recommended that an administrator password be assigned to prevent
unauthorized access to the Remote and PBXgateway. The PBXgateway has
two separate levels of password security:
Connect Password: Set by the system administrator, provides a secure WAN
link between the Switch and Remote units. (see page 75 for more information)
Admin Password: Set by the system administrator and provides security to
restrict access to the MI. (see page 92 for more information)
Note: Connect Passwords for Remotes and Gateway must match.
System A system administrator is defined as the sole person responsible for the
Administrator maintenance and administration of the PBXgateway at the corporate facility.
