CCS with hydraulic part and supply via pump(s)

The concentrate supply system CCS is based on a pressure and quantity-regulated supply of undiluted
hemodialysis concentrates (acid concentrates) in a supply line with the intention of supplying hemodialysis
equipment with hemodialysis concentrates (acids). One "fluid unit" (FU) is used per acid hemodialysis
concentrate, which independently pumps one type of concentrate from two concentrate containers on up
to two floors. The pressure and quantity regulation on the CCS is by means of a speed-regulated geared
pump, the capacity of which adapts to the respectively pre-set supply line pressure. The actual value is
adapted to the pre-set reference value through interaction between a pressure pick-up and the capacity
of the geared pump in such a way that the pressure deviations in the loop system do not exceed 0.05 bar
even when the quantities tapped vary. The concentrate supply system CCS has a modular design and
can be extended from the basic version 1 concentrate 1 for one floor (CCS 1.1) to the maximum develop-
ment stage 3 concentrates for two floors (CCS 3.2). Based on on a constant control unit comprising a com-
puter board (CPU) and a power unit (LT3), acid concentrate can be pumped by the respective hydraulic
assembly from two storage tanks which are to be emptied alternately, with the concentrate pumped to one
or two floors as required. The hydraulic part is equipped with one (for one floor) or two (for two floors) inde-
pendently controlled geared pumps which pump the concentrate out of the storage tank at the same time.
(The maximum version CCS 3.2 requires 3 hydraulic parts, each equipped with 2 pumps and 2 pressure
sensors each).
