ESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE

Intended use

The Dynamic Energy Storage Combination (DEK) is used to store brake energy from
applications (frequency converters or servo drives) and, independently from the on-
board power supply, to supply an intermediate DC circuit with electrical power. The
DEK does not need its own power supply. It is possible to operate several DEK units
in parallel to increase the maximum power. Optional extension modules (EMs) can
also be used to increase the amount of energy stored.
The DEK is supplied according to customer specifications and may only be operated
when these specifications are met.
The Dynamic Energy Storage Unit (DES) is used to store brake energy from applica-
tions (drives with frequency converter or servo drive). The DES does not need its own
power supply. It is possible to operate several DES units in parallel to increase the ma-
ximum power. Optional extension modules (EMs) can also be used to increase the
amount of energy stored.
The DES is supplied according to customer specifications and may only be operated
when these specifications are met.
The Dynamic Energy Supply Unit (DEV) is used to store brake energy from applica-
tions (frequency converters or servo drives) and, independently from the on-board
power supply, to supply an intermediate DC circuit with electrical power. The DEV
does not need its own power supply. It is possible to operate several DEV units in pa-
rallel to increase the maximum power. Optional extension modules (EMs) can also be
used to increase the amount of energy stored.
The DEV is supplied according to customer specifications and may only be operated
when these specifications are met.
The Expansion Module (EM) is connected to the dynamic Energy storage solutions
(DES, DEK, DEV) and increases its energy storage capacity.
If several dynamic Energy storage solutionss are connected in parallel, the additional
EMs must be distributed symmetrically.
For drive controllers with a connection voltage up to 230 VAC
The Small Energy Storage Combination (KEK) is used to store brake energy from ap-
plications (frequency converters or servo drives) and, independently from the on-
board power supply, to supply an intermediate DC circuit with electrical power. The
KEK does not need its own power supply. It is possible to operate several KEK units
in parallel to increase the maximum power. Optional small extension modules (KEMs)
can also be used to increase the amount of energy stored.
The KEK is supplied according to customer specifications and may only be operated
when these specifications are met.
