To transfer the selected text to a different file:
Select the text block as described previously.
Press the APPEND TO FILE soft key — the TNC
displays the dialog prompt Destination file =
Enter the path and name of the target file. The TNC
appends the selected text to the end of the specified
file. If no target file with the specified name is found,
the TNC creates a new file with the selected text.
To insert another file at the cursor position:
Move the cursor to the location in the text where you wish to
insert another file.
Press the READ FILE soft key.
The TNC displays the dialog prompt File name =
Enter the path and name of the file you want to insert.
Finding text sections
With the text editor, you can search for words or character strings in
a text. Two functions are available:
1. Finding the current text
The search function is to find the next occurrence of the word in
which the cursor is presently located:
Move the cursor to the desired word.
To select the search function, press the FIND soft key.
Press the FIND CURRENT WORD soft key
2. Finding any text
To select the search function, press the FIND soft key.
The TNC displays the dialog prompt Find text:
Enter the text that you wish to find.
To find the text, press the EXECUTE soft key.
To leave the search function, press the END soft key.
