The "Mark" box at the left functions in precisely
the same way, but affects contact lenses which
are already stored in the PC.
Marked contact lens types can be deleted from
either list with the [Delete] button.
• "External", "Free?"
The "External:" box shows the path where the
contact lenses are stored (A:\).
Any subdirectories of the diskette can also be
specified here, and a backup copy of the contact
lens database can be created by entering "C:\".
Use the [Free?] button to again call data from the
diskette (after insertion of a different diskette) or to
determine how much storage space is still free on
the diskette.

7.5.5 Other Functions of the Examination Program

Examinations of any patient which are already stored
in the computer's memory can be reloaded into the
"Examinations" menu with the help of the "Load
old Examination" function (cf. 7.5 page 21).
Selection is then carried out via the list of displayed
examinations. Click on the desired examination and
confirm with [OK] (By double-clicking an examination
with the mouse pointer it will also be loaded).
The examination list shows the date, time, eye and
comments (cf. 7.5.2.1 page 23), if any.

7.5.5.1 Loading old Examinations

Changes on the diskette are always carried out
immediately.
However, changes in the PC database become
effective only after the [Save + Quit] button is
activated.
No changes are carried out in the PC-database if the
[Cancel] button is clicked.
• Update
Proceed as follows in order to update the contact
lens database from a diskette:
Select the "Choose Contact Lens" function

(cf. 7.5.4.2 page 64).
Insert a diskette.

Click [Import / Export ->]
-
Click [Compare]
-
Click [<- Import <-]
-
Click [Save and Quit]
-
The new contact lens data are immediately called
and confirmed.
