To start the examination program, first select a
patient from the list and confirm this with the
[Easygraph] button (cf. 7.1 page 14).
After the "Easygraph" examination program is
started, the patient data (at the upper left) and a
menu bar containing information for controlling the
program are displayed. The following main menu
headings are seen in the menu bar:
• Patient
This ends the examination program and brings
the user back to the patient data management
system.
• Examination
Calls former examination results to the screen
and carries out new examinations.
• Display
Is used to select different forms of displaying
examination results.
• Adjust the height of the table so that the
combination forehead and chin rest holds the
patient's head comfortably but firmly.
• Adjust the chin rest so that the patient's eyes are
approximately at the level of the black ring of the
combination chin and forehead rest.
• Set the rotatable reflector to the eye which shall
be examined.
• Inform the patient that he is now required to keep
his eyes fixed on the fixation LED of the
Easygraph (in the center of the ring system).

The Examination Program

• Lens Fitting
Starts a program for fitting contact lenses to the
corneal
surface
measured.
• Settings
Here different program settings can be made.
• Miscellaneous
Different program functions can be selected from
this menu.
• Print
Prints out the screen contents of the moment at
the printer.
• Start the examination program (cf. 7.5, page 21)
and select the function "New Examination
(Eye)" from the "Examination" menu.
• The actual camera image now appears on the left
side of the screen. Align the Easygraph with the
help of the x/y table so that the patient's eye
appears in the middle of the camera image
(rough adjustment). Then adjust the distance
between the Easygraph and the patient's eye so
that the camera image is as sharply focused as
possible.
