About storage mode
Putting your handheld into storage mode is
different from turning off the power. When your
handheld is put into storage mode, after
approximately 24 hours, it enters a special storage
state. When you press any keys or click the
trackwheel while the handheld is in storage mode,
it does not respond.
If you are not going to use your handheld for
more than two weeks, you should put it into
storage mode and store it in a cool, dry place.
Put the handheld into storage mode
1.
In the handheld options, click Storage Mode.
2.
Click Yes in the four dialog boxes that follow.
Activate the handheld from storage
mode
1.
Insert your handheld into the cradle.
2.
Connect the cradle to a power outlet.
3.
Confirm the handheld date and time.
4.
On the Home screen, click the Turn Wireless
On icon.
5.
Charge your handheld to full battery power.
Note:
If your handheld is integrated with a corporate
email account, generate new encryption keys after
activating the handheld from storage mode.
