6 Operation

6.1 Connecting / Parking

DANGER
Serious accidents when manoeuvring and coupling!
Ø Keep an eye on your environment.
Ø Order persons to leave the manoeuvring area around the machine.
Ø Instruct persons to leave the area between tractor and machine.
Ø No person must be present in the danger zone when the tractor approaches
the machine or moves away from it!
WARNING
Leaking hydraulic fluid can cause serious injuries! Danger of injury by
unwanted machine movements.
Ø Connect and disconnect the hydraulic lines only when the hydraulics are
without pressure on both tractor and machine.
The machine must be properly connected to a tractor before any machine move-
ments.
DANGER
Serious accidents from loss of stability!
Ø Park the machine only on a level and firm ground.
Ø Secure the machine against rolling away before unhitching.
Ø Always park the machine while unfolded.
NOTE
Ø Check all plug-and-socket connections (hydraulic, electric and pneumatic) for
cleanliness and firm seating.
Dirty connectors will contaminate the flowing media. The connectors there-
fore become worn and this results in malfunctions and failures in the connec-
ted assembly groups.
1. Clean the towing facilities of machine and tractor and check for wear.
2. Move the tractor to the machine for coupling. Pick up the lower coupling
points of the machines with the tractor link arms and secure them. Insert the
safety elements of the catching hooks and secure the bolts on the tractor link
arm with cotter pins.
3. Couple the upper link, secure the bolt with the cotter pin. Use the position fit-
ting for the respective tractor.
