ABS

The motorcycle is equipped with ABS, the instrument
panel indicates ABS status (on or off) by switching off,
on or flashing the ABS warning light (10, Fig. 7).
The instrument panel displays:
-
if the ABS is active, the message "ABS" and the
set intervention level number "1" to "3";
-
if ABS is active, but system is in degraded
operation due to a fault (no "cornering" feature),
"ABS" message and the set intervention level
number "1" to "3" (flashing); also the ABS
warning light (10, Fig. 7) starts flashing;
-
if ABS is active, but ABS status information is
missing, "ABS" indication and the dash "-";
-
when in fault, the "ABS" indication, the red "Err"
message; also the ABS warning light (10, Fig. 7)
turns on;
-
if the ABS is disabled, the "ABS" and "OFF"
lettering and the ABS warning light (10, Fig. 7)
turns on.

In case of system malfunction, contact a Ducati
Dealer or Authorised Service Centre.
Using the brakes correctly under adverse conditions
is the hardest – and yet the most critical - skill to
master for a rider. Braking is one of the most difficult
and dangerous moments when riding a two wheeled
motorcycle: the possibility of falling or having an
accident during this difficult moment is statistically
