Setting parameters via the CAN master

General OD objects
The Object Dictionary (OD) is used to, among other things, specify which
communication objects are provided and in what way.
For general OD objects, the CiA DS-301 specifies the following types of
entries:
Entry
Constants
Readable entries
Writable entries
Readable and writable entries

All of the values in the OD changed by the user or changed by situa-
tions during runtime are lost in the event of a power failure. After a new
power on, all the objects are at their default values.
All OD objects are described in the device master data (EDS files) in ASCII
format. They can be downloaded from the Internet or ordered on CD-ROM
(see page 9–1).
Use
Information on module states, version
codes, etc.
For control and configuration of the
module, deviating from the default set-
module, deviating from the default set-
tings. E.g. reassigning objects, chang-
ing identifiers, etc.
