4.1.1. Preparing the Development Tools and Programming Languages

WP-8000-CE7 is a Windows CE-based device that supports three programming languages for
developing Windows CE applications.
● Visual Basic.NET
● Visual C#
● Visual C++
Development Tools
WP-8000-CE7 supports the application development with the Professional Edition application of
Visual Studio 2008.
Tips & Warnings
There are some updates for Visual Studio 2008 to provide support for
Windows Embedded Compact 7.
If you have Professional Edition of Visual Studio 2008 are installed, make
sure all of the following package are installed
1. Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack 1
