• The master clock is found at IP address 10.124.45.200 (example).
• The NTP server will also update the EK80 Processor Unit clock.
• In some cases a motion reference unit (MRU) providing the KM Binary
datagram does not act as the vessel's master clock. You must then follow
the instructions of the MRU manufacturer to synchronize the MRU to the
Ship Master clock.

Troubleshooting the Network Time Protocol (NTP) service

The Network Time Protocol (NTP) service may in some cases malfunction, or even stop.
Context
The EK80 installation program adds a firewall rule to allow for NTP communication. If
the EK80 issues messages related to missing time synchronization between a motion
reference unit (MRU) and/or ADCP hardware synchronization, the problem is most
likely related to the firewall.
Procedure

Check the firewall settings on the Processor Unit.
