byte 32:
This byte gives information which allows the user to 1) determine the type of polarization control
equipment interfaced to the controller, and 2) determine the exact value of the controller's
internal polarization position representation. This may be used with the automove command to
position the polarization control device at a specific value.
The RC2000's Pol Equipment Code CONFIG mode item allows the user to specify what type of
polarization control equipment is interfaced to the controller. The RC2000 supports the
following polarization control devices ...
1) No Polarization Control Device
2) A Polarotor type polarization control device.
3) A single port motorized (or rotating) feed with potentiometer position feedback.
4) A two port motorized (or rotating) feed with potentiometer position feedback. A two port feed
receives horizontal and vertical polarizations simultaneously.
