5.5.1

Storage of spare modules

• Storage is only allowed in dry rooms.
• The modules have to be stored in undamaged original packing.
• Do not expose the modules to large temperature variations.
• Store the boxes with the top side to the top.
• Do not store modules with sizes ≥ 16E one on top of the other.

Enviromental conditions of transport, storage and installation

A special agreement shall be made between the assembly manufacturer and the user if the conditions during
transport, storage and installation differ from those defined in IEC 61349-1.
Environmental conditions like ambient temperature and humidity, pollution degree and altitude must be specified during
project phase. Acc. IEC 61439-1 the standard environmental conditions are:
Ambient air temperature
The air temperature does not exceed +40°C and it´s average over a period of 24 hours does not exceed +35°C. The lower
limit of the ambient air temperature is -5°C.
Humidity conditions
The relative humidity of the air does not exceed 50% at a maximum temperature of +40°C. Higher relative humidity may be
permitted at lower temperatures, for example 90 % at +20 °C.
Pollution degree
The pollution degree of the place for transport, storage and installation does not exceed pollution degree 3.
Altitude
The altitude of the place for transport, storage and installation does not exceed 2000 m above sea level.
