We recommend that you measure your blood pressure while
sitting with your back supported by the back of the chair. Place
both feet flat on the floor next to each other. Do not cross your
legs. You must support your arm and bend it slightly. You must
also make sure that the cuff is positioned at the level of the
heart. If not, the measurements may vary considerably. Relax
your arm and the palm of your hand. A position check is inte-
grated into the monitor as an additional aid to show you when
the blood pressure monitor is in the correct position. If you see
'OK' on the display, you have found the correct position.
Do not take your blood pres-
sure after taking a bath or
playing sport.
Do not eat, drink or exercise
for at least 30 minutes
before the measurement.
Please wait for at least one
minute between two measurements.
Start a measurement only after applying the monitor. Press
the START/STOP button
segments followed by the time and date indicates that the
monitor is carrying out its self-test and is ready for use.

. The appearance of all display
Check the display segments for completion.
After about 0.5 seconds the cuff will automatically inflate. If
the inflation pressure is insufficient or if the measurement is
interrupted, the monitor pumps at intervals of 40 mmHg up
to the appropriate higher pressure value. During inflation, the
results indicator on the left also increases at the same time.
Important: Please do not speak or move during the meas-
urement.
As the air pressure in the cuff decreases, the heart symbol
and the dropping pressure in the cuff are shown on the display.
After the measurement is complete, the systolic and diastolic
blood pressure as well as the pulse rate (see Fig. below)
appear simultaneously.
