Criteria Definition
The MSL2024 and MSL4048 Tape Libraries can only be placed on a flat surface if
they are installed in the optional tabletop conversion cover. Do not put the MSL8048
or MSL8096 Tape Library on a flat surface; it must be mounted in a rack with the
included rack kit.
Select a location that is flat, sturdy, and close to the host server. Ensure that all of the
Tabletop
plastic feet on the tabletop conversion cover will be supported.

Do not place the device on the floor or other carpeted surface.
Do not place the Library on its sides or upside down, or stack items on top of it. The
Tabletop Conversion cover is not a structural top so no weight may be placed on top
of the cover.
