Control panel access

Under "Control panel access" you can protect access with a password on the Control Panel.
Only users who have been assigned the "Control Panel access" function right in the
configuration can change the password protection.
General network settings
● "Enable password protection for control panel": Option to enable password protection for
the Control Panel.
The password protection can only be activated or deactivated by users who have been
assigned the "Control Panel access" function right in the configuration.
If you select the "Enable password protection for control panel" option, the "Access to
control panel is restricted" dialog box is displayed.
Log in as a user with the "Control Panel access" function right to activate the password
protection for the Control Panel. Use the following button to make the password visible for
the display duration of the dialog:

Four login attempts allowed
Four attempts are allowed to enter the correct login credentials. If the login credentials
are entered incorrectly on the fifth attempt, the user involved is locked out. The user must
be deleted and newly created or you must reload the user administration into the HMI
device.
Ensure you enter the login credentials correctly.
If you are logged in as a user with the "Control Panel access" functional right, the "Access to
control panel is restricted" dialog is no longer displayed when accessing the Control Panel.
