alarm buzzer, it does not stop the error LEDs from functioning.

Disk Drive Carrier LEDs

Each disk drive carrier has two LED indicators on the front as shown in Figure 4-
5.

"Bypassed" means that the signal for a Fibre Channel loop is low even though the
disk is present. It indicates a disk has received a Loop Port Bypass primitive or
has been removed from the Fibre Channel loop for some reason.
"Loop Failed" means that there is no valid Fibre Channel data present at the input
connector on the port bypass card.

Disk Drive Carrier LED Definitions
Green - Normal status, Disk not communicating on the bus
OFF - Normal status, Disk communicating with other devices
Red (1 intermittent flash) - Disk is bypassed on loop 1
Red (2 intermittent flashes) - Disk is bypassed on loop 2
All 7 Disks Red (1 intermittent flash) - Loop 1 is failed
All 7 Disks Red (2 intermittent flashes) - Loop 2 is failed
All 7 Disks Red On - Link has failed on both loops
Off - Disk is operating normally
On - Fault status. Disk may not be responding to con-
trol signals and may be bad, or may need a power-
off reset. If the problem persists, replace the disk.
Flashing - Disk is building or rebuilding as part of an
array.
