Dual Port Bypass Circuits

If two port bypass circuits are used, there must be one Adaptec Fibre Channel
controller installed in the host system, with support for two fibre channel loops.
The second port bypass circuit is connected to the host system in exactly the same
way as the first port bypass circuit. If the first port bypass circuit fails then the
second port bypass circuit will take over from the failed circuit. Figure 3-4 below
shows a single shelf with dual port bypass circuits connected to a single host sys-
tem.
