2-4-2. Adjusting Method

1. Preparation
(1) Turn off the backup switch and D30mode switch.
(2) Connect a personal computer and a camera with a VISCA cable.

When setting the camera, make sure to set it on the suitable place at a level surface.
Also, be careful not to prevent the obstruction during pan and tilt operation.
(3) Turn on the power of a camera.
(4) Start up VISCA communication software.

When VISCA communication software does not start and "No CameraConnected!" Message is
displayed in this case, VISCA communication does not established correctly with a camera.
Confirms that cable connections of network and condition of a camera.
(5) When firmware version of the unit is 1.02 and later, the motor may moves heavily at rattle sound
cause of mis-action the motor after replace the pan motor or tilt motor and reassemble it, then turn on
the power. To prevent this accident, transmission the following command from the VISCA
communication software before reassembling it. (It may moves at rattle sound only loosen the settle
screw of the shaft on the tilt motor but not replace it.)
. Transmission at 8101062213FF (Receiving of debug command enabled)
Commands of 9041FF and 9051FF are returned to Response Window.
. Transmission at 8101061F03FF (Receiving of adjustment command enabled)
Commands of 9041FF and 9051FF are returned to Response Window.
. Transmission at 8101060CFF (Clearing of hall sensor data)
Commands of 9041FF and 9051FF are returned to Response Window.
2. Pan/Tilt Adjustment
Performs transmitting of VISCA command and adjustment as following procedure.
Input the each command to DirectCommand window of the communication software, press Enter key to
transmit the each command.
(1) Transmission at 8101062213FF (Receiving of debug command enabled)
Commands of 9041FF and 9051FF are returned to Response Window.
(2) Transmission at 8101061F03FF (Receiving of adjustment command enabled)
Commands of 9041FF and 9051FF are returned to Response Window.
(3) Pan and tilt are stayed to the following position.
Pan: Near of center (HOME) position
Tilt: Lowest end

When data is not written in EEPROM on the MDR-16 board, pan and tilt cannot controls (rotating
freely). When data is already written in EEPROM, pan and tilt keep staying at HOME positions.
Therefore, execute step (4) while hold a camera head by hand and fix it to above position described in
step (3). Afterward, release the hand from a camera head immediately.
