2-4. Pan/Tilt Adjustment

2-4-1. Preparation

1. VISCA Communication Software
The pan and tilt adjustment and operation test are performed using VISCA communication. Install the
VISCA communication software in a personal computer and perform transmitting and receiving with
VISCA command between a personal computer and a camera.
2. Requirement Condition of Adjustment
Perform the adjustment and operation check when one of following item is executed.
In case that;
. Replace an EEPROM on the MDR-16 board.
. Repair or replace of the MDR-16, MDR-17 or SE-616 board.
. Remove the MDR-17 or SE-616 board.
. Replace either a pan motor or a tilt motor.
. Remove or reassemble the mechanism block of a pan and tilt.
. Remove or reassemble the enclosure of activating block for a pan and tilt.

When firmware version of the unit is 1.02 and later, the motor may moves heavily at rattle sound cause of
mis-action the motor after replace the pan motor or tilt motor and reassemble it, then turn on the power.
To prevent this accident, transmission the following command from the VISCA communication software
before reassembling it. (It may moves at rattle sound only loosen the settle screw of the shaft on the tilt
motor but not replace it.)
. Transmission at 8101062213FF (Receiving of debug command enabled)
Commands of 9041FF and 9051FF are returned to Response Window.
. Transmission at 8101061F03FF (Receiving of adjustment command enabled)
Commands of 9041FF and 9051FF are returned to Response Window.
. Transmission at 8101060CFF (Clearing of hall sensor data)
Commands of 9041FF and 9051FF are returned to Response Window.

Perform the adjustment since items 2-4-2 after reassembling the unit. And confirmation of the firmware
version, check that transmission the following command using communication software.
. Transmission at 81090002FF (Inquiry of model name and version)
Command of 90500001040Dpqrs02FF is returned to Response Window.
Version number means at pqrs. (Example: 0102 = Ver. 1.02)
