Technical information

This appendix contains information that might be useful when installing your
Matrox Meteor-II /Standard board.

General information

• Operating system: See your software manual for supported versions of Microsoft
Windows.
• System requirements: A computer with a PCI bus and an Intel Pentium processor
(or equivalent) or better.
Some older systems use a core logic chipset (interfaces PCI with Host memory)
that has limited throughput capabilities. Matrox Meteor-II /Standard might not
be able to attain full functionality on such systems. We recommend systems with
newer PCI chipsets, such as the Intel 440BX, 810, 815E, 820, 840, 845PE, 850,
860, E7500, or E7505. If you need more specific information regarding potential
problems, refer to the
Troubleshooting appendix.
• Technical features:
- For PCI and PC/104-Plus form factors, twelve software selectable channels,
