Introduction Introduction This manual contains installation instructions for installing the LNG Series dispenser. Included are mechanical, transporting, wiring, and start-up instructions. For any additional installation information on ground storage modules, shear valves, hoses, breakaways, and the Liquid Natural Gas System. Please refer to the manufacturer’s installation instructions for proper installation.

Utilizing the chart below determine the features of the dispenser to be installed. General Installation Information Examine the shipment immediately upon arrival to make certain there has been no damage or loss in transit. Bennett Pump Company, as shipper, is not liable for the hazards of transportation. Please make damage claims directly to the truck line.
General Installation General Installation How to Lift and Transport the LNG Series There are eyebolts included in the unit that need to be installed for transportation. To transport the dispenser remove the bolts and install the eyebolts. Once transport is complete, re-install the bolts. Note: Refer to Figure 1 for the only factory-approved method for lifting the LNG Series.

LNG refueling sites utilizing or dispensing saturated LNG with personnel in the immediate vicinity shall provide barrier walls or equal protection in order to protect the refueling operator and vehicle.

Refer to Figure 4 for tube locations and the LNG Installation Diagram – Footprint on page 7 for exact piping sizes and locations.
Bennett LNG Series Installation Manual Piping Installation Piping Installation Testing For Leaks Once the dispenser is mounted and anchored onto the island, it is important to check all fittings prior to testing them for leaks. Refer to Figures 4 and 6 for tube locations on the previous pages.
Bennett LNG Series Installation Manual Piping Installation Piping Installation See Figure 10 below for Bennett Purge Air Supply box, which uses a Fasco 50752-D500 Blower and a MERV Rating (13) 10” x 10” x 1” Air Filter. Figure 10 - Blower and Filter Assembly Follow these steps to insure operation of the blower system: Clean or replace air filter every 30 days.
Use this section as a guide to determine the wires needed for installation. AC Power Wires (560 watts 115v 60 Hz) Power is supplied by the Dispenser Power Board. The LNG Series requires the following wires. Note: These wires are routed through a factory-installed junction box.
Check with Federal, State, and Local Codes for conduit use in your area. Bennett recommends rigid metal conduit. Do not use PVC conduit. Use only Rigid metal conduit. Using PVC conduit could void the Bennett Limited Warranty! All wiring gauges is minimum required, stranded wire with THHN insulation must be used. Do not use wire smaller than listed on the Bennett wiring diagrams.
Bennett LNG Series Installation Manual Wiring Installation Wiring Installation Beginning the Wiring Process This product must be properly grounded. Each dispenser requires a 12- gauge stranded THHN earth ground wire. Refer to the Instructions for Earth Grounding the Equipment for detailed installation instructions.
Instructions for Earth Grounding the Equipment WARNING: Failure to properly ground the equipment can cause injury or damage to the equipment and will VOID the Bennett Limited Warranty. WARNING: Absolutely no daisy chaining communication data wires, orange and yellow 18awg.
The data wires can be put in the same conduit as the other pump wiring. Refer to the Wiring Information for All LNG Series Remote Dispenser with 708 Electronics – Current Loop Diagram or Wiring Information for All LNG Series Remote Dispenser with 708 Electronics –RS-485 COMM Diagram for additional information.
Bennett LNG Series Installation Manual Wiring Installation Wiring Installation Installing the Wire Separator A safe installation requires that a wire separator be installed on the wires as they are routed through the conduit and into the dispenser’s electronic enclosure. The wire separator holds the wires apart to ensure that the seal off compound fully seals around each wire.
Bennett LNG Series Installation Manual Wiring Installation Wiring Installation Dispenser Start-Up DANGER: FIRE, EXPLOSION, INJURY OR DEATH WILL OCCUR IF FUEL VAPORS ARE PRESENT. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO HAZARDOUS GASES PRESENT BEFORE STARTING THIS PROCEDURE. CAUTION: To prevent damage to the dispenser, follow the proper start-up procedures.
