8.4.3 Opening and Closing Times

In subsection ➀ (see also figure 10) you will find a list with which you can set your individual series of
up to 128 opening and closing times. The field "opening time" stands for the duration of how long the
connected spray, pulse or dosing valve will be open or activated. The closing time indicates the duration
of how long the spray, pulse or dosing valve will remain closed or inactive after the opening. The
individual times will be entered in ms with one decimal point. Adding opening and closing time will give
you the respective cycle time.
The opening and closing times which you configured in subsection ➀ (see figure 10) can also be used
for the operating modes "series shot" (see chapter 8.4.4) and "sequence shot" (see chapter 8.4.5). Both
chapters below will describe in detail these operating modes, based upon the sample configuration of
opening and closing times from figure 11.

CAUTION
• Please follow the instructions on the switching frequency of the employed spray,
pulse or dosing valves when entering opening and closing times. You will find
these in their operating manuals.
• Please note that the correct function of a valve can be impaired by too small
preset values for opening and closing times.
