8.3 Configuration Tool WLVCM – Area USB Configuration
The USB interface of your Windows PC is used for the communication between the WLVCM
configuration tool and the WLVCM module. In order to establish a connection to the WLVCM, click on
the "refresh" button" ➀ in the area "USB configuration" (see figure 8). Then the upper right field
"available" ➁ will display the available USB ports of your computer where WLVCM modules are
connected. Select the desired WLVCM module with double-click from the displayed drop-down list. A
connection will be directly established as soon as you have double-clicked on the desired COM interface
in the drop-down list. The field "selected" ➂ will always show the interface of the WLVCM module with
which a connection has been established.
If only one WLVCM is connected to your Windows-PC or available, a connection will be directly
established when the configuration tool WLVCM is started! Use the "refresh" button ➀ for updating the
interface selection of available WLVCM modules at any time. This is mainly required when you
connected other WLVCM modules to your Windows PC during the runtime of the WLVCM configuration
tool, or when you removed any.
