INSTALLING AND CONFIGURING MITEL EX CONTROLLER AND MITEL GX GATEWAY

In the LAN settings section, enter the IP addresses:

•

Of EX Controller (in the format @IP/Mask, example 10.10.10.22/24),

•

Of Call Manager (associated MiV5000 Server) (in the format @IP only, example 10.10.10.22),

•

The default gateway address (in the format @IP only, example 10.10.10.22).

Note: The WAN address is optional.

In the General settings section, fill in (optional):

•

The DNS server IP address,

•

The FQDN.

In the banner at the bottom of the screen, select the type of deployment (partial or full):

•

Partial, select Partial deploy,

•

Full, select Full deploy (duration; about 30 minutes).

Then click OK to deploy Call Manager on EX with the previously specified network settings.

In this example, partial deployment is chosen to split it into 2 phases:

•

Downloading the virtual machine,

•

The configuration phase.

This depends on the goal to be achieved or it is useful for analysing a problem.
