Chapter 1 Installing the Router

1.1 Introduction

The Teldat C1+LS router is a general purpose router with a wide scope of application: personal environments,
SOHO/SME and corporative, covering access needs using ADSL, ADSL2+ (over PSTN) and 3G access. As for local
area networks (LAN), it incorporates a 4 port Ethernet LAN Switch. The Teldat C1+LS also has a serial port allowing
it to be used in X.25, SDLC and Frame Relay scenarios, or with an external backup device.
The Teldat C1+LS router is perfectly adaptable to a wide variety of IP scenarios: from providing simultaneous ac-
cess to Internet for private LAN users and/or for the corporation through Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to the ad-
aptation of teleprocessing networks and SNA support. The most common applications are as follows:
