SD Free-Running Frequency Adjustment

7-3-1.

Adjustment Procedure

Tools/Fixtures
• Oscilloscope
TEKTRONIX TDS510A or equivalent
• Frequency counter
ADVANTEST TR5821 or equivalent
Preparations
1.
Turn off the power of the unit.
2.
Remove the bottom plate assembly. (Refer to Section 6-4.)
3.
Connect an oscilloscope and a frequency counter to the unit.

4.
Turn on the power of the unit and the tools.
Note
Apply power to the unit and the tools to allow warm up of 10 minutes or longer.
SD Free-Running Frequency Adjustment
1.
Set an oscilloscope as follows.
CH-3 : DC 2 V/DIV
TIME : 100 µs/DIV
2.
Display the maintenance menu. (Refer to Section 4-1-2.)
3.
Select "SD 27MHz VCO".
Menu hierarchy
[M1 : ADJUST]
[A2 : AUDIO/VIDEO/BATTERY]
[A23 : CP VR]
[HD 74MHz VCO]
[SD 27MHz VCO]
The SD 27 MHz VCO ADJUST menu appears.
