Furthermore, the data is converted to PCIe signal data by the SATA / ATA Bridge ICs (IC201, IC401), ATA/PCI Bridge
ICs (IC202, IC402), and PCI / PCIe Bridge ICs (IC206, IC406) on the DIF-221 board. Then the PCIe signal data is sent
to the EC-76 board and is written to the SxS memory card (CN901, CN902).
Playback System
The playback data that is read from the SxS memory card is sent to the CPU board on the HPR-46 board in the reverse
route of the recording system (EC-76 board → DIF-221 board → CN-3594 board).
The playback data is sent from the CPU board to the PIERe (IC1200) on the HPR-46 board through the PCI-Express
interface, and is then written to the PIERe SDRAM.
The HD format (HD422, HD420) playback video data of the PIERe SDRAM is sent from PIERe to the MPEG HD
codec NATH (IC600) to be decoded. The decoded data is sent to LVIS (IC500) as an HD playback video signal.
The IMX format playback video data is sent from PIERe to the MPEG HD codec NATH (IC600) in which the playback
video data is decoded and is then sent to LVIS (IC500) as an SD playback video signal in the same way as the HD format
playback video data.
When the playback video data is DVCAM format, the signal is directly sent to LVIS (IC500) from PIERe and is decoded
into the SD playback video signal by the DVCAM decoder process block inside LVIS.
Because the proxy video data is used as the video data during the search operation, it is sent from PIERe SDRAM to
LVIS via PIERe. The proxy video data receives the decode processing inside the LVIS, up-converted to the HD playback
video signal.
HDSDI output
The HD playback video signal and the HD playback video signal that is up-converted by SD playback video signal are
sent to VAX (IC200) after HD Video Process is performed in LVIS. After a part of the ANC data is written at this point,
the HD playback video signal is sent to the VPR-118 board with the audio signal.
After characters for superimposing are added in the ROVO (IC300) on the VPR-118 board, and the video signal, audio
signal, and the ANC data (LTC, VITC, UMID, essence mark) are multiplexed, the HD playback video signal undergoes
serial/parallel conversion and output from the HDSDI OUTPUT connector (CN1) to the external as a 1.5 Gbps HDSDI
signal.
LCD monitor output
The HD playback video signal that is output from LVIS to VAX is sent from VAX to KMBC (IC2100) in which characters
for superimposition are added. The processed HD playback video data is pixel-converted to LCD resolution. After OSD
processing is performed by the graphic display controller (IC1700), the HD playback video data is sent from the
connector (CN1) to the LCD monitor through the harness to be displayed.
SDSDI/composite output
The SD playback video signal and the SD playback video signal that is down-converted by HD playback video signal
are sent to VAX as the SD playback video signal after the SD Process is performed. After a part of the ANC data is
written at this point, the SD playback video signal is sent to ROVO (IC300) on the VPR-118 board with the audio signal.
After characters for superimposing are added in ROVO and the video signal, audio signal, and the ANC data are
multiplexed, the SD playback video signal undergoes serial/parallel conversion and output to the outside from the SDSDI
OUTPUT connector (CN2).
The SD playback video signal that is sent from ROVO to the video encoder (IC501) is encoded into the composite video
signal and output to the outside from the COMPOSITE OUTPUT connector (CN4).
Network output
• Outputting SxS memory card data
Upon a DMA request from the CPU board, output data is read from the SxS memory card (CN901, CN902), and
is then DMA-transferred to the DDR memory on the CPU board in the reverse order of writing to the SxS memory
card.
