Power Architecture

Limits to current and interface speed must be taken into consideration
when using the expansion interface. Current for extenders connected to
or
can be sourced from the EZ-KIT Lite; therefore, the current should

be limited to 250 mA for 5V, and 200 mA from the 3.3V planes. If more
current is required, a separate power connector and a regulator must be
designed on the daughter card. Additional circuitry implemented on
extender cards can add extra loading to signals, decreasing their maximum
effective speed.
Analog Devices does not support and is not responsible for the
effects of additional circuitry.
Power Architecture
The ADSP-CM403F EZ-KIT Lite has two primary voltage domains: 3.3V
and 1.2V. The main input is a 5V wall adaptor. The 5V source can be
selected via
JP4
to the wall power adaptor. Refer to
Select Jumper (JP4)
The Analog Devices ADP2119 controller provides 3.3V for the
signal and the 3.3V power requirements of the board. The
is delivered through either Analog Devices regulator ADP2119 (

Power Measurements

Locations are provided for measuring the current draw from various power
planes. Precision 0.05 ohm shunt resistors are available on the
