STANDBY MODE
Monitoring of the limit values can be switched off. This is necessary if large water volumes are required in
an uninterrupted period, e.g. filling up of a swimming pool or garden pond.
To do so the manual pushbutton must be pressed and held for longer than 5 s. Additionally the shut-off
valve must also be in the "Open" position. Standby mode is indicated by simultaneous illumination of the
green "Open" LED and the red "Closed" LED. Moreover the top "Off" LED of the 3 LED rows illuminates.
After 6 hours the control sensor switches back automatically to normal operating mode.
During the 6 hours of standby operation, no monitoring of water consumption
takes place!
"Standby mode" can likewise be exited by brief pressing of the manual pushbutton.
If large water volumes must be drawn for longer than 6 hours (e.g. for filling a swimming pool), the control
sensor power supply unit can be unplugged. In addition the control sensor shut-off valve must be open. Af-
ter the water has been drawn, the plug-in power supply unit must be plugged back in.
If the power supply unit is unplugged, the control sensor no longer monitors water
consumption!

EMERGENCY ON FUNCTION
The shut-off valve can also be opened or closed without a power supply: for example loss of power as a re-
sult of a house fire. This is particularly important when extinguishing water is needed.
/
Unplug the power supply unit.
/
Remove the cover.
/
Remove the red locking pin (see fig. 5).
/
Turn the motor anticlockwise through approximately 90 degrees (¼ of a turn). It is not necessary to un-
do any screws to do this.
For recommissioning perform the reverse sequence.

AUTOMATIC CHECKING OF THE SHUT-OFF VALVE
To ensure long-term functioning of the shut-off valve, the ball of the shut-off valve is automatically rotated
every 2 weeks. The check does not take place while water is being drawn.
