Care and Cleaning of Interior Soft Trim
Remove loose dust and dirt from interior fabric
frequently using vacuum cleaner or soft brush.
Normal trim soilage may be removed by the pro-
per use of trim cleaners available through Cadillac
dealerships. Spots or stains should be removed AS
SOON AS POSSIBLE using a technique that will
prevent enlarging the stain.
CAUTION: When cleaning ,"terior sofi tnm
such as upholstery or carpeting, do not use
volatile cleaning solvents such as: acetone.
lacquer thinners, enamel reducers, nail polish
removers; or such cleanmg matenals as laun-
dry soaps, bleaches or reducing agents (except
as noted in the adjacent fabric cleaning
Instructions on stain removal). Never use
carbon tetrachloride. gasoline, or naphtha for
any cleaning purpose These materials may be
toxic or flammable. or may cause damage to
interior trim.

Cleaning Fabrics with Cleaning Fluid
Use cleaning fluid to remove stains containing
grease, oil, or fats in the following manner:
• Scrape excess stain from surface with clean,
dull knife or scraper.
• Use cleaner sparingly on a clean, absorbent
cloth.
• Blot stain with light pressure, work toward
center of stain area, and turn cloth to a clean
area constantly.
• When stain is removed, wipe treated area
briskly with clean, absorbent cloth to prevent
