system
"ON",
the compressor operates so that
when the front system
IS
in the "VENT'-
pOSItion,
cold air is supplied from instrument panel outlets
at a low blower speed.
HEATING OR COOLING
"LO'-The blower operates at fixed low speed to
deliver air tempered according to the heating or
cooling requirements set on the control dial.
Temperature control is automatic within the limits
of the "LO" mode of operation.
"AUTO"-The blower lIltomatically operates at
varying speeds. As in-ear temperature approaches
the temperature setting on the control dial, blower
speed is reduced. Temperature control is auto-
matic. In cold weather, air will be delivered from
the heater outlet at floor level. In warm weather,
air will be deliV!red from the grilles in the instru,
ment panel. In some intermediate conditions, air
will be deliverl!d both from the heater and dash
oudets. "AUTO" has mOrl! heating·cooling capa-
bility than "LO".
"HI" - The system operates as in the "AUTO"
setting except at a fixed high blower speed for
maximum heating-<:ooling capability. During hot
weather the "HI" setting can recirculate up to 80%
of the car interior air for fast cooling. Also, use
"HI" for the fastest interior warm-up in winter, to
reduce fogging, or to obtain the most uniform
temperature throughout the car interior.
"BI·LEVEL"-At this setting the system delive"
tempered air both from the instrument panel out·
lets and the heater outlets. In·car temperature is
controlled automatically. This setting is suggested
for mild weather operation and for minimizing fog
formation on the side windows. Close cen er
Instrument panel outlet and direct outer

WINOSHIELO OE·FOGGING AND DEICING
"OEF"-This position delivers maximum air
volume to the windshield immediately Set

air. Use "OEF" to defrost, deice, or de·fog the
WIndshield.
