Four-way hazard
warning
flasher
• This system flashes both front and both rear
signal lamps and the turn signal indicators

• Use the warning flasher to warn other drivers

hazard, day or night.

• Tum on the hazard warning flasher by push·
ing in on the button located on the coJumn

below the steering wheel. Flasher can be

with
engine ignition either off or on.
• If
the brake pedal is depressed, the lights will
not flash but will glow continuously instead.
• To cancol the flasher, pull the button out.
• On a car equipped with Theft Deterrent
System, disarm the system to prevent it
from activating.
Emergency
starting
• The engine cannot be started by towing or
pushing the car.
• To start the car when the battery is dis-
charged, use a single auxiliary battery of the
same nominal voltage
(12 volts) as the dis-
charged battery, with suitable jumper cables.
• Make connections as set forth on next page
under "Jump
Starting With
Auxiliary
(Booster) Battery" to lessen the chance of
personal injury or property damage.
CAUTION: Never expose battery to open
flame or electric spark· battery action gene-
rates hydrogen gas which is flammable and
explosive. Don't allow battery fluid to contact
skin, eyes, fabrics, or painted surfaces - fluid
is a sulfuric acid solution which could cause
serious personal injury or property damage.
